Thirty seconds instead of a page of text

Some things are easier to show than to explain.

A process that spans five systems, an automated workflow, a technical product: describing them in words takes a page that few people will read in full. Showing them in motion takes thirty seconds and works even for people without technical expertise.

It is the most effective tool we know for explaining automation to people who need to approve it without being technical experts.

Where it is most useful

  • Product explanation: the video that replaces the slide nobody watches to the end.
  • Sales enablement: content that sales teams can send before or after a meeting and that keeps working when they are not there.
  • Internal training: showing a procedure is more effective than describing it in a manual that will remain unopened.
  • Interface micro-animations: small movements that make it clear what is happening inside a tool.

Lightweight, because a video that slows down your website does more harm than good

Videos do not autoplay with sound, do not block page loading, and are only loaded when they are actually needed. The preview image has explicit dimensions, so page content does not shift while the video loads.

For interface animations, we use lightweight vector formats instead of video: they weigh a fraction as much and remain sharp at any size.

Accessible by design

All spoken videos include subtitles — both for accessibility and because most social media views happen without sound. No information is conveyed through movement or color alone.

If the viewer's operating system indicates a preference for reduced motion, non-essential animations are automatically disabled. For some people, motion is not a pleasant visual extra but a genuine physical issue.

Motion as information

In interfaces, motion is not decoration: it communicates relationships between elements and continuity between states. Durations follow a consistent scale — short for immediate feedback, medium for state changes, and long only for transitions between views.

When an animation is purely decorative, it adds perceived waiting time without adding information. In that case, we remove it.

Discoverable, not just beautiful

Videos with self-contained informational content get their own dedicated page and the technical metadata that helps search engines understand and display them: title, description, thumbnail, and duration. This allows the video to work as an entry point to the website, not just as a decorative element on a page.
